Black Ledger ("we", "the Ledger") respects your privacy and collects as little as possible. This page explains what we gather, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide, through our email provider, solely to send you the newsletter.
- Basic analytics. We may collect anonymous, aggregate visit data (pages viewed, referring site) to understand what people read. This does not identify you.
- Purchases. If you buy something, payment is handled by a third-party processor. We never see or store your card details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers without your consent.
- We do not email you for anything other than what you signed up for.
Cookies
The site aims to run with no non-essential cookies. Any analytics or payment providers we use may set their own; you can block cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to the reading experience.
If advertising is enabled, our advertising partner (Google AdSense) may set cookies to show and measure ads. In that case we ask for your consent first: you will see a banner and can decline, and no advertising cookies are set unless you accept.
Your choices
Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by writing to keeper@blakledger.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of providers — an email service, a payment processor, and a hosting provider — each with its own privacy policy. We choose providers that treat your data with care.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes affecting subscribers will be noted in the newsletter.
